Migawki. Wspomnienia fotografa – meeting with Wojciech Plewiński | 25.05.2016

On Wednesday, 25 May, we and Znak Literanova publishing house invite you to Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology in Krakow, to a meeting with maestro Wojciech Plewiński. The meeting was inspired by his book “Migawki. Wspomnienia fotografa”, published recently by the Znak Literanova publishing house.

Unusual portraits, outstanding nude photographs, inspiring collages, and exceptional nature photographs – the works of Wojciech Plewiński, exhibited worldwide and many times awarded, have become a chronicle of an important era in the history of Polish culture. The artist is famous for portraits of Krakow personalities, such as Sławomir Mrożek, Tadeusz Kantor, Krzysztof Komeda or Anna and Wiesław Dymny. One of his most recognised works shows Roman Polański and Andrzej Wojciechowski, in their pyjamas on, dancing on a table.

The memories of this great photographer outline a unique live story of an artist and a man with numerous passions, as well as the picture of past times, full of interesting stories and anecdotes.
