Tim Clark, 1000 Words Photography Magazine (UK)

 

Associate curator at Media Space at the Science Museum, London. Major exhibitions he has worked on include Gathered Leaves: Photographs by Alec Soth and Julia Margaret Cameron: Influence and Intimacy. He is also the founder, editor in chief and publisher of 1000 Words, which was nominated for Photography Magazine of the Year at the Lucie Awards 2014. His writing on photography has appeared in The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, FOAM, Time Lightbox, The British Journal of Photography and Next Level as well as in numerous exhibition catalogues and photo books. He has been invited to review portfolios at the Saatchi Gallery, the Photographers’ Gallery, FORMAT International Photography Festival, ReGeneration 3, Les Rencontres d’Arles, Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, Circulation(s) Festival, and Riga Photomonth, amongst others. In 2011 he joined the Academy of Nominators for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize, and he has also participated in the nomination procedure for MACK’s First Book Award 2016. Clark has also judged a number of important awards and competitions, such as the Paul Huf Award, freshfacedandwildeyed and the Google Photography Prize.
